I can totally relate to these associations. Several years ago, before I decided to make changes to my lifestyle, I was in this boat.

I had the mindset of eat a good variety of foods, eat often, and workout extra hard at the gym to “burn off” those calories.

Looking back, I now see that my gut was disturbed, my headaches were not normal, my “all day” energy was not there, my body was storing more fat than it was burning, and I was totally dependent (addicted) to carbohydrates.

Years of eating a little bit of everything, paired with a dedicated “no pain no gain” exercise mentality left me with a healthy appetite, and excess belly fat.

So many people think that they need to exercise away their excessive weight (fat). In most people’s minds, losing weight is going to make them healthy.
